Mrs. Vasquez is a Mexican woman, born on February 20, 1962, in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. She currently resides at Humble, Texas 77338. She is a single mother and, as an undocumented immigrant woman, has worked her entire life with great effort, dedication, and sacrifice to raise her children and provide them with a better life.

Due to her immigration status, Mrs. Vasquez has faced various difficulties in accessing healthcare services and the medications she needs, which has considerably affected her quality of life. She is currently going through a very difficult time due to her delicate health condition, as she presents complications affecting her kidneys, liver, and heart. Additionally, she suffers from fluid retention, a condition that significantly impacts her well-being, mobility, and activities of daily living.

Her family lives with great worry and anguish given the difficult situation she faces, especially due to the need to find a compatible donor who can give her a new chance at life. Added to this situation is the high cost of the medications she needs, as well as other expenses related to her treatment and daily care, which represent a financial burden that is very difficult for her and her family to bear.

It is precisely in situations like this where the work of Abrazo Dorado is born and takes on meaning—an initiative committed to supporting people in our community who, like Mrs. Reynalda, face difficulties in accessing basic resources, health services, and other essential supports due to their social and economic circumstances.

As part of this commitment, Abrazo Dorado has provided Mrs. Vasquez with groceries and food, helping her cover some of her basic needs. Likewise, support was also provided to handle various procedures at the Consulate of Mexico, including processing her passport, as well as transportation and accompaniment to obtain information and carry out procedures related to welfare programs. Support was also provided with a wheelchair, since she cannot walk.

These forms of support represent a small help in the face of the great needs she currently faces, especially given the high cost of her medications and the expenses related to her medical attention and care. However, for Mrs. Uvaldina and her family, each display of support represents much more than financial aid: it means hope, solidarity, and the certainty that they are not alone during this very difficult time.
